Condor Slides Available (High Throughput Computing)

  • Fri, 11/15/2013 - 3:24pm - Posted by: Mike Cammilleri

Attached are the slides from the seminar this afternoon by Lauren Michael. If you're interested in utilizing the High Throughput Computing faciilities available to us on campus, you should start with these slides. Within you'll find an overview of the campus grid, and details on packaging R/Matlab/Python to carry out to the larger grid.

In Statistics we have the privelege of having our own submit node to the entire Center for High Throughput Computing pool which goes well beyond just Stats/CS machines. If you have developed some understanding of the system and would like to begin with HTC, please email the lab and (mikec) and you can request an account directly through Statistics.

"Squirrel Mail" web interface going away Oct. 1

  • Fri, 09/27/2013 - 11:28am - Posted by: Mike Cammilleri

If you check your Stat email at and have been using the "Squirrel Mail" interface, please note that it will be turned off on October 1st.

Please move to the Round Cube interface (should be the default interface when logging in to webmail). It has much more functionality. If you keep address books in the old Squirrel Mail interface, please contact me and we can see about exporting. Check your Round Cube interface to be sure they're not already there.

In general, I would not recommend relying on the online version of Stat mail to manage contacts.

    Email the lab with questions.
