I work on a variety of problems related to statistical genomics, with the goal of unraveling the complex relationships between observable traits (such as flowering time or clinical signs of diabetes) and molecular signals (mRNA expression, protein and metabolite levels, etc.). My primary interest in statistical methodology has evolved into development of informatics platforms that allow biologists and data analysts to share data and algorithms. This work includes model selection for gene mapping (QTL), expression hotspot analysis and causal phenotype models.
