Course Description: introductory probability and statistics with illustrations from engineering. This course covers the statistical concepts and methods including the computation and presentation of descriptive statistics, probability, random variables and their probability distributions, sampling distribution. It also covers statistical inference and applications such as confidence intervals and hypothesis testing, linear regression, factorial experiments and analysis of variance.
