I am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research is in statistical machine learning with a particular focus on matrix/tensor data analysis. I am also very interested in statistical applications in genetics and neuroimaging.

Prior to UW-Madision, I was a postdoc in the Computer Science Division (EECS Department) at UC Berkeley. I spent 2015-2017 in the Department of Mathematics, University of Pennsylvania as a Simons Math+X Postdoc Fellow. Before that, I received my PhD in Statistics from the University of Chicago and BS in Mathematics from Fudan University.

Do not e-mail me about graduate admissions in Statistics at UW-Madison. Admissions are handled by the departments, not by individual faculty.
