Midwest Statistics Research Colloquium
2013 Midwest Statistics Research Colloquium, March 15 & 16, 2013
Major statistics and biostatistics departments in the Midwest are sponsoring the Sixth Midwest Statistics Research Colloquium. The first five colloquia were held in the spring of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. As with these colloquia, the program for the sixth colloquium will be inclusive, recognizing the importance of first-rate theoretical work, computational work, and applied work.
We are holding this colloquium to give visibility to quality research by students and faculty at all levels in some seventy departments in the Midwest and also to give everyone a chance to form new friendships, new collaborations, and obtain new ideas without having to travel a significant distance. We also want participants to enjoy a day of relaxation in a scholarly environment.
The sixth colloquium will be held at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus from 1pm on Friday, March 15, through 1pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Online registration is mandatory for all participants.
