1.  Read about the Gnu Public Licence and about writing R packages.

2.  Create an R package (for linux) and submit it to 
    ftp://ftp.biostat.wisc.edu/dropboxes/newton/

    In the man pages explain what the package does, provide a data set
    and example code to demonstrate its use.
