Announcements

• Solution to Assignment 4 is available.
• First exam information
  • When: Tuesday October 7, 2008 regular class exam: 9:30am (lec.1) or 11am (lec.2)
  • Where: 113 Psychology (lec. 1) and B371 Chemistry (lec. 2)
  • Material covered: chapters 1-5 and part of Ch.6, i.e. all material covered in assignments 1 through 4. Material in the textbook that was not covered in lecture is not to be expected.
  • What to bring: textbook, calculator with batteries. Open book/open notes exam, but laptops not allowed. You may certainly bring a formula sheet.
  • Extra 5 minutes: Exams will be distributed 5 minutes before starting time (i.e. at 9:25/10:55am) for your perusal. Writing will not be allowed until the regular class time (9:30/11am). You can take these few minutes to select the problems to do first, for better time management.
    Another 5 extra minutes will be allowed at the end.
• Extra office hours: Fri. 10/3 1-2pm, Mon. 10/6 10-11am (Nicholas Keuler) and Mon. 10/6 11-12 (Cecile Ane).
